Paramount Cycles

   Was established in 1998. Our first day of business was Saturday, February 14, to avoid opening on Friday, the 13^th. Back then, we were located on Northern Lights Boulevard , just west of Spenard Road . As the business grew, we decided to move to South Anchorage . During the winter of 2001-2002 we made the move to our current location on Huffman Park Drive in the Huffman Business Park . Though some customers missed having us in Midtown, people in South Anchorage were happy we made the move and we quickly became the neighborhood shop.

We’re happy that many of our customers are also willing to make the trip a few miles to the south to shop for their bike products.

Jon Kunesh spent many years at the Bicycle Shop in Anchorage before taking on the job of managing Paramount Cycles. Prior to that, he worked at shops in Boise , Idaho . Jon got his start repairing and building bicycles and is known as the guy who wants to make things work, no matter what the challenge. He’s also known for his dedication to year-round bicycle commuting.

Through the move and the inevitable staff changes over the years, the constant is that Paramount strives to provide top quality bikes and excellent service
